What this trial studies
This study assesses the impact of an intense physical exercise program on women with triple-negative breast cancer undergoing neoadjuvant chemotherapy. Participants in the intervention group will engage in high-intensity interval training and resistance exercises, while a control group will not meet the minimum exercise recommendations set by the World Health Organization. The primary aim is to evaluate improvements in physical capacity, with secondary outcomes including body composition, quality of life, and levels of depression and anxiety.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are women diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer who are receiving neoadjuvant chemotherapy at the specified hospital.
Not a fit: Patients who do not have triple-negative breast cancer or are not undergoing neoadjuvant chemotherapy may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this intervention could enhance physical capacity and overall well-being in women undergoing chemotherapy for breast cancer.
How similar studies have performed: Previous studies have shown varying success with exercise interventions during chemotherapy, but this specific approach is relatively novel.
