What this trial studies
This intervention aims to improve maternal health among pregnant Black adolescents in the Mississippi Delta by utilizing a multicomponent digital health program called Mama Let's Move. The program includes peer health coaching, activity tracking through Fitbits, and tailored text messages to encourage physical activity and reduce sedentary behavior. The study will assess the feasibility and acceptability of this approach, targeting young women enrolled in the WIC program who are at high risk for cardiometabolic diseases. By leveraging telehealth and mobile technology, the intervention seeks to address social barriers and promote healthier behaviors in this vulnerable population.
