What this trial studies

This project aims to create a data bank that collects and stores information on joint motion, including ground reaction forces, range of motion, electromyography (EMG) data, and video recordings of human motion. Patients visiting the UF Biomechanics/Motion Analysis Laboratory will be informed about the data collection and asked to participate. Those who consent will have their biomechanical data recorded as part of their clinical care. The study is observational and does not involve any specific interventions beyond the standard motion analysis.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates include any individuals undergoing joint analysis for medical or personal reasons.

Not a fit: Patients not undergoing joint analysis or those uninterested in participating will not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this data bank could enhance understanding of joint biomechanics and improve treatment strategies for patients with joint issues.

How similar studies have performed: While this approach is observational and data-driven, similar studies have successfully contributed to advancements in understanding biomechanics.
