What this trial studies
This clinical trial evaluates the effects of dance as a therapeutic intervention for breast cancer patients who have undergone surgical treatment. The study aims to assess improvements in various health metrics, including range of motion, muscle strength, fatigue, functionality, pain, and overall quality of life. Participants will undergo pre- and post-intervention evaluations over a 16-week period using a variety of assessment tools. The goal is to determine whether dance can enhance recovery and well-being in this patient population.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are breast cancer patients who have recently undergone surgical resection and have been referred for physiotherapy.
Not a fit: Patients with prior oncological diagnoses or neuromuscular diseases may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this intervention could significantly improve the recovery and quality of life for breast cancer patients post-surgery.
How similar studies have performed: While dance therapy is a novel approach in this specific context, similar interventions in other patient populations have shown promising results.
