What this trial studies
This study focuses on adapting the Project Dulce diabetes self-management program for Filipino Americans with type 2 diabetes. It integrates a text messaging component to enhance engagement and address cultural barriers specific to this population. The program aims to improve diabetes knowledge, attitudes, and self-management behaviors over a six-month period. Participants will receive education and support tailored to their cultural and linguistic needs, with assessments of their health outcomes at baseline, three months, and six months.
