What this trial studies
This study investigates the effectiveness of a culturally adapted motivational interviewing approach, known as CAMI, for Latino/a individuals struggling with alcohol and drug use. The intervention specifically addresses immigration-related stressors that contribute to substance use, aiming to reduce alcohol-related harms and psychological distress. The study will assess the feasibility of implementing CAMI in real-world clinical settings and gather feedback from healthcare providers on the intervention's impact. By focusing on a population that faces unique challenges, the study seeks to enhance addiction treatment outcomes for Latino/a individuals.
