Comparing two methods for fixing dentures in edentulous jaws
Marginal Bone Changes in Fixed All-on-Four Mandibular Prosthesis Using OT Bridge Attachment System Versus Conventionally Screw Retained Multiunit Abutments: A Randomized Clinical Trial

What this trial studies
This clinical trial investigates the marginal bone changes in edentulous patients receiving fixed mandibular prostheses using two different attachment systems: conventional screw retained multiunit abutments and the OT bridge attachment system. Patients will be divided into two groups, with both undergoing implant placement guided by a surgical template. The study aims to assess the effectiveness of the OT bridge attachment system compared to traditional methods in maintaining bone integrity around the implants. Participants will be monitored over a healing period of eight to twelve weeks post-implant placement.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are edentulous individuals aged 40 years or older with sufficient bone height and diameter for implant placement.
Not a fit: Patients with general contraindications for oral surgery, heavy smokers, or those with uncontrolled diabetes may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could improve the stability and longevity of dental implants for edentulous patients.
How similar studies have performed: Previous studies have shown promising results with similar implant attachment systems, suggesting potential for success in this approach.
