What this trial studies

This is an observational comparison of adult patients' physical activity levels with the self-reported physical activity of their general practitioners. Participating GPs in Reims will enroll consenting adult patients regardless of consultation reason, and both GP and patient activity will be collected through questionnaires and routine data capture. The analysis will compare activity patterns and examine associations while accounting for basic patient demographics and consultation characteristics. Results aim to clarify whether GP activity level correlates with patient activity in a real-world primary care setting.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Adults who consult a participating general practitioner in the participating center and agree to provide informed consent are eligible.

Not a fit: Minors, legally protected individuals, and anyone who refuses consent are excluded and would not receive benefit from participation.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If a link is found, the findings could support interventions that encourage physician activity as a way to promote patient physical activity.

How similar studies have performed: Previous work has shown that more active general practitioners are more likely to give physical activity advice, but the direct impact on patients' activity levels has not been demonstrated.
