What this trial studies
This observational study aims to gather normative test values and demographic information for a computerized neurocognitive testing device called BrainCheck, focusing on healthy adults aged 50 and older. Participants will undergo a battery of 12 cognitive assessments that evaluate various cognitive domains such as memory, attention, and executive function. The goal is to establish a normative database that reflects cognitive performance in older adults, which can help in identifying cognitive decline in future assessments. By collecting this data, the study seeks to enhance the understanding of cognitive health in aging populations.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are healthy adults aged 50 and older who are willing to participate in cognitive assessments.
Not a fit: Patients with recent neurological conditions or significant cognitive impairments may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide valuable benchmarks for cognitive health, aiding in the early detection of cognitive decline in older adults.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies have successfully established normative data for cognitive assessments, indicating that this approach is supported by prior research.
