What this trial studies
This observational study aims to connect research sample and treatment data for patients evaluated or treated for cancer at the Developmental Therapeutics Clinic (DTC). Participants will provide consent for researchers to access their medical records and link data from multiple studies they have participated in. The study focuses on collecting various biological samples, including blood and tissue biopsies, to analyze tumor responses to different treatments over time. The goal is to understand the dynamics of cancer treatment and resistance by evaluating molecular changes associated with drug effects.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are adults aged 18 and older who are currently being evaluated or treated for cancer at the DTC.
Not a fit: Patients who are not being treated for cancer or benign tumors at the DTC will not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could enhance understanding of cancer treatment responses and improve future therapeutic strategies.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies have successfully utilized similar approaches to connect research data across multiple trials, indicating potential for this methodology.
