What this trial studies
This study evaluates the effectiveness of a computer-based cognitive treatment delivered through telerehabilitation compared to in-person treatment for patients with multiple sclerosis. It is a non-inferiority, single-blind randomized controlled trial that focuses on sustained attention and other cognitive functions. The study includes patients diagnosed with relapsing-remitting, primary progressive, or secondary progressive multiple sclerosis, and assesses various cognitive disorders. The aim is to determine if telerehabilitation can provide similar benefits to traditional in-person therapy.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are adults aged 18 to 65 with a diagnosis of multiple sclerosis and specific cognitive disorders.
Not a fit: Patients with other neurological conditions, psychiatric disorders, or severe uncorrected visual deficits may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could provide accessible cognitive rehabilitation options for patients with multiple sclerosis, improving their cognitive functions and quality of life.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown promising results with telerehabilitation approaches for cognitive disorders, suggesting potential success for this method.
