What this trial studies
This study evaluates the effectiveness of a card game method for educating primiparous mothers about breastfeeding. It aims to enhance breastfeeding success and self-efficacy by providing engaging and interactive learning experiences. The intervention involves presenting health messages through a card game format, which is designed to improve knowledge and motivation regarding breastfeeding. The study targets mothers in the late stages of pregnancy who have received prior breastfeeding training.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are pregnant women over 18 years old, able to read and write Turkish, and in the 34th to 38th week of their first pregnancy.
Not a fit: Patients who are multiparous, have communication disorders, or are experiencing high-risk pregnancies may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could significantly improve breastfeeding rates and maternal confidence among new mothers.
How similar studies have performed: While innovative educational methods like this have shown promise in other contexts, this specific card game approach is relatively novel and has not been extensively tested.
