What this trial studies
This program aims to implement an evidence-based asthma intervention called Asthma CHAMPS in 32 elementary schools within Baltimore City Public Schools. It will evaluate the effectiveness of a tailored implementation plan to reduce asthma disparities by using a stepped wedge pragmatic trial design. The study will assess the impact of the program on asthma-related absences, healthcare utilization, and overall asthma control among participating children. Additionally, qualitative methods will be employed to gather feedback from stakeholders, including parents and school personnel, to refine the intervention and implementation strategies.
