Assessing movement control in patients with chronic low back pain
Does the Therapist's Assessment of Movement Control in Low Back Pain Patients Correspond to an Objective Kinematic Modification
This study is trying to see if measuring how people with chronic low back pain move can help therapists better understand their movement problems and improve their treatment.

What this trial studies
This study aims to explore the relationship between therapists' assessments of movement control in patients with chronic low back pain and objective kinematic measurements. By classifying low back pain into subgroups, the study seeks to identify specific movement control impairments that can be quantitatively analyzed. The goal is to establish a kinematic threshold that corresponds to clinically detected anomalies in lumbar movement control tests. This exploratory prospective study will involve motion control fault tests administered to eligible participants.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are adults over 18 years old with chronic low back pain who have a medical prescription for rehabilitation.
Not a fit: Patients with a Body Mass Index greater than 30, those who do not understand French, pregnant women, and individuals under guardianship will not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to more tailored and effective rehabilitation strategies for patients suffering from chronic low back pain.
How similar studies have performed: While the approach of using kinematic analysis in movement control assessments is gaining traction, this specific study is exploratory and may provide novel insights into the treatment of low back pain.
