What this trial studies

This study utilizes cytof technology to analyze peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) from patients with sporadic Alzheimer's Disease (AD) and Dementia with Lewy Bodies (DLB). The goal is to identify immune differences between these two neurodegenerative diseases at the single-cell level, which will help in building immune models and enhancing the precision of clinical diagnoses. By focusing on molecular immunity, the study aims to provide objective support for differentiating between AD and DLB.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates include individuals clinically diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease or Dementia with Lewy Bodies.

Not a fit: Patients with infectious diseases, autoimmune diseases, or other specified exclusions may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved diagnostic accuracy and tailored treatment strategies for patients with neurodegenerative diseases.

How similar studies have performed: While similar studies have explored immune characteristics in neurodegenerative diseases, this specific approach using cytof technology is relatively novel.
