What this trial studies
This study focuses on developing and testing an AI-assisted nursing care robot, known as the 'E-Nursing Assistant', to alleviate the burden on nursing staff facing workforce shortages and heavy workloads. The robot will be implemented in clinical settings to measure nursing staff workload and gather feedback on its effectiveness in improving care efficiency and quality. By integrating advanced technology into nursing practices, the study aims to enhance the overall nursing experience and patient care outcomes.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study include ward nurses aged 18 years or older and patients or caregivers willing to accept the intervention for non-safety-related care tasks.
Not a fit: Patients who are unconscious or unable to communicate may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could significantly reduce the workload of nurses and improve the quality of patient care.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies have explored the use of AI in healthcare, showing promising results, but the specific application of an AI-assisted nursing care robot is relatively novel.
