ACL reconstruction using a new graft technique
Anatomic Single Bundle Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction With a Press-fit Tibial Fixation Technique Using Periosteal - Patellar Tendon - Bone Autograft
This study tests a new way to fix ACL injuries using a special graft and technique to see if it helps patients recover faster and do better than traditional methods.

What this trial studies
This study evaluates the clinical and radiological outcomes of patients who have undergone anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction using a periosteal-patellar tendon-bone autograft and a novel press-fit tibial fixation technique. The approach aims to provide a minimally invasive option that allows for faster rehabilitation without the use of screws or staples. The study will compare these outcomes with existing reconstruction techniques documented in the literature, focusing on the effectiveness and safety of this new method. Patients will be followed for at least one year to assess the long-term results of the surgery.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are patients who have undergone ACL reconstruction with the specified graft technique and have completed at least one year of follow-up.
Not a fit: Patients who have had a secondary arthroscopy or trauma to the knee after the initial surgery may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this technique could lead to improved recovery times and outcomes for patients with ACL injuries.
How similar studies have performed: While similar techniques have been explored, this specific approach is novel and has not been extensively tested in prior studies.
