What this trial studies
The ACEMg Hearing Preservation and Tinnitus Relief study evaluates the effectiveness of the ACEMg dietary supplement, designed to protect against sensorineural hearing loss (SNHL) and potentially relieve tinnitus symptoms. This 24-week open-label study follows a previous two-year real-world study that showed significant auditory function preservation in 75.3% of participants using ACEMg daily. The study aims to confirm these findings and assess the impact of ACEMg on tinnitus, which was not previously measured. Participants will undergo auditory function assessments to determine the supplement's effectiveness in stabilizing or improving hearing loss and alleviating tinnitus symptoms.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates include individuals with self-reported tinnitus or assessed hearing loss.
Not a fit: Patients without tinnitus or hearing loss, or those who have previously used ACEMg, may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide a new approach to preserving hearing and relieving tinnitus symptoms for patients with SNHL.
How similar studies have performed: Previous studies have shown promising results with ACEMg in preserving hearing, but this specific approach to tinnitus relief is novel.
