What this trial studies
The Apple Health Study aims to gather a diverse group of participants to enhance understanding of how data collected from apps and devices can relate to various health aspects, including mental health, sleep, exercise, hormones, and metabolic health. Participants will use their iPhones and the Apple Research app to share health and sensor data, complete surveys, and provide personal and medical history. This observational study focuses on building a comprehensive dataset that can help predict, detect, monitor, and manage health changes over time.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are adults aged 18 and older living in the U.S. who own an iPhone and are comfortable using the Apple Research app.
Not a fit: Patients who do not own an iPhone or are not comfortable sharing their health data digitally may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved methods for monitoring and managing health conditions through digital biomarkers.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies utilizing digital health data have shown promise in advancing health monitoring and management, indicating potential success for this approach.
