SugarVita is a serious digital game designed to enhance self-management for individuals with type 2 diabetes. Developed through collaboration between Máxima Medical Centre and Eindhoven University of Technology, this mobile application simulates a day in the life of a diabetes patient, allowing players to make choices about diet, exercise, and medication. Players earn points by effectively managing their blood glucose levels, promoting healthful behaviors through gamification. The game aims to empower patients with the knowledge and skills necessary for better diabetes regulation in a fun and engaging way.
