What this trial studies
This study evaluates the impact of video-supported medication education on women undergoing their first in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment. It aims to assess how this educational approach affects their quality of life and psychosocial well-being during the IVF process. By providing information through video links, the study seeks to enhance knowledge and reduce stress associated with infertility treatments. The focus is on addressing the emotional and physical challenges faced by women in this context.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are women aged 18-49 who are undergoing their first IVF treatment and have access to a smartphone or tablet with internet connectivity.
Not a fit: Patients who have previously undergone controlled ovarian stimulation or are undergoing frozen embryo transfer may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could significantly improve the quality of life and reduce psychosocial stress for women undergoing IVF.
How similar studies have performed: While video-assisted educational programs have shown promise in enhancing knowledge and reducing stress in IVF, this specific approach evaluating quality of life and psychosocial effects is relatively novel.
