What this trial studies
This clinical trial investigates the effects of probiotics on skin care in children, focusing on specific strains such as Lactobacillus salivarius AP-32, Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis CP-9, and Lactobacillus rhamnosus LGG. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the probiotics or a placebo to assess the impact on skin health and immune function. The study aims to determine whether these probiotics can help prevent allergic diseases in children by regulating their immune responses.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are children who may benefit from improved skin care and have no severe underlying health conditions.
Not a fit: Patients with severe diseases or those currently taking immune-inhibiting medications may not receive any benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide a new approach to improving skin health and preventing allergic conditions in children.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown promising results in using probiotics for immune regulation, suggesting potential success for this approach.
