What this trial studies

This study aims to evaluate the feasibility and potential efficacy of low-level laser therapy (LLLT) in alleviating genitourinary symptoms associated with menopause in women aged 45 and older. Participants will be recruited from a gynecology clinic and will receive LLLT sessions once a week for eight weeks. The therapy is designed to stimulate tissue regeneration and improve blood circulation in the genitourinary area. Baseline assessments will be conducted to measure the severity of symptoms and quality of life before treatment begins.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are menopausal women aged 45 and older experiencing genitourinary symptoms such as vaginal dryness and urinary incontinence.

Not a fit: Patients with advanced pelvic organ prolapse or a history of pelvic malignancy may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this therapy could provide a non-invasive treatment option for menopausal women suffering from genitourinary symptoms.

How similar studies have performed: While this approach is relatively novel, preliminary studies on low-level laser therapy for similar conditions have shown promising results.
