What this trial studies

This study investigates the impact of Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) on the mental well-being and stress levels of pregnant women at risk. A total of 120 participants will be randomly assigned to either an EFT group or a control group, with each group consisting of 60 women. The EFT group will undergo four sessions of the technique at weekly intervals, while both groups will complete mental well-being and stress assessments before and after the intervention. The study aims to provide insights into the effectiveness of EFT in enhancing mental health during pregnancy.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are pregnant women aged 18 and older who are primiparous and meet specific risk criteria outlined by the Ministry of Health.

Not a fit: Patients who have participated in EFT or other antenatal programs during the study period or those with psychological issues may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could significantly improve the mental health and stress management of pregnant women at risk.

How similar studies have performed: While the use of Emotional Freedom Technique is gaining attention, this specific application in pregnant women at risk is relatively novel and has not been extensively tested in prior studies.
