What this trial studies

This pilot study aims to explore the effects of a multisensory environment room on the behavior of children aged 3 to 5 years diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. Participants will be randomly assigned to either an experimental group, which will receive training in a multisensory room environment once a week for 10 weeks, or a control group that will only receive educational training about autism. Behavioral outcomes will be measured before the intervention, at the 5th week, and at the 10th week to assess any changes. The study seeks to provide insights into the potential benefits of multisensory interventions for young children with autism.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are children aged 3-5 years diagnosed with mild-to-moderate or severe autism spectrum disorder.

Not a fit: Patients with blindness, deafness, or those who have received r-TMS treatment within the last year may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could enhance behavioral outcomes and overall well-being for children with autism.

How similar studies have performed: While multisensory interventions have been explored in various contexts, this specific approach in young children with autism is relatively novel and has not been extensively tested.
