What this trial studies
This clinical trial evaluates the effectiveness of the Positive Peers mobile app in improving viral suppression rates among young individuals aged 13 to 34 who are living with HIV. Participants will download the app and use it as they find beneficial, while also completing online surveys at various intervals over a year. The study aims to identify user characteristics that correlate with viral suppression, retention in care, and perceived stigma related to HIV. Data will be collected from both the app usage and medical records to assess the intervention's impact.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are young individuals aged 13-34 who are HIV positive and identify as a racial, ethnic, sexual, or gender minority.
Not a fit: Patients who have previously used the Positive Peers mobile app will not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this intervention could significantly enhance viral suppression rates and overall health outcomes for young people living with HIV.
