What this trial studies
This observational study aims to explore the lived experiences and support needs of young adults aged 16-25 who suffer from severe and uncontrolled asthma. Through in-depth one-on-one interviews utilizing photo elicitation techniques, participants will share their daily challenges and experiences related to asthma management. Additionally, focus groups will be conducted to further identify support needs and inform future interventions. The study seeks to develop a comprehensive understanding of this demographic's unique needs to improve care and outcomes.

Inclusion Criteria: * A confirmed diagnosis of severe or uncontrolled asthma under the care of the Manchester or Liverpool severe asthma services * Participants aged 16-25 years. * Informed consent provided. Exclusion Criteria: * Inability to provide informed consent. * Participants with additional long-term conditions who identify their dominant health concern to be non-asthma related. * Focus group only- inability to converse in English
