What this trial studies
This observational study aims to explore the lived experiences of individuals suffering from Long COVID, focusing on their daily life, work life, and interactions with healthcare systems. It employs a qualitative, descriptive, phenomenological approach, utilizing individual interviews to gather in-depth insights. The study will include participants diagnosed with persistent COVID symptoms at the Parc Taulí Hospital, with a sampling method that includes convenience, purposive, and snowball sampling techniques.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are individuals aged 18 to 65 who have been diagnosed with persistent COVID symptoms and have received treatment at the Parc Taulí Hospital.
Not a fit: Patients who do not speak or understand Catalan or Spanish will not benefit from this study due to communication barriers.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide valuable insights that improve the understanding and management of Long COVID, enhancing patient care and support.
How similar studies have performed: While qualitative studies on patient experiences with Long COVID are emerging, this specific approach focusing on daily life and healthcare interactions is relatively novel.
