What this trial studies

This observational study aims to investigate the survival rates and prognostic factors in patients who have undergone surgical treatment for primary squamous cell carcinoma of the nasal vestibule. It will collect data on patient demographics, tumor characteristics, and surgical details, and will analyze these factors to determine their influence on overall survival, disease-specific survival, and disease-free survival. Participants will be followed for a minimum of 6 months post-surgery, with the goal of potentially developing a new staging system to improve upon existing classifications.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates include patients diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma of the nasal vestibule who have undergone surgical treatment with curative intent.

Not a fit: Patients with recurrent disease or tumors originating from other sites that involve the nasal vestibule will not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved prognostic assessments and treatment strategies for patients with nasal vestibule carcinoma.

How similar studies have performed: While there may be existing studies on squamous cell carcinoma, this specific focus on nasal vestibule carcinoma and its prognostic factors is relatively novel.
