What this trial studies
This observational research project aims to explore the clinical evolution and social participation of adults recovering from traumatic brain injury (TBI) during rehabilitation. It will assess how patients adapt and participate socially throughout their rehabilitation process and evaluate their quality of life one year after rehabilitation. Utilizing the Mayo-Portland Adaptability Inventory-4, the study will gather data from multiple rehabilitation centers in Montreal to provide insights into the factors influencing recovery and social integration for TBI patients.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are adults who have sustained a traumatic brain injury and are receiving post-acute rehabilitation services.
Not a fit: Patients who do not complete at least one month of rehabilitation may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved rehabilitation practices and better support for TBI patients in their recovery and social reintegration.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown success in understanding TBI recovery and social participation, making this approach both relevant and valuable.
