What this trial studies
This study explores the knowledge, attitudes, beliefs, and clinical decision-making of physiotherapists regarding the role of physical activity in managing chronic pain, particularly in cancer survivors and patients with chronic low back pain. It aims to identify barriers that physiotherapists face in promoting physical activity among patients and to enhance their ability to support patients in adopting an active lifestyle. The intervention involves e-learning modules designed to improve physiotherapists' skills and confidence in guiding patients towards physical activity. By addressing these issues, the study seeks to improve patient outcomes in chronic pain management.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are physiotherapists currently practicing in Belgium or the Netherlands who have experience working with chronic pain populations.
Not a fit: Patients who are not physiotherapists or those not currently practicing in the field will not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could enhance the ability of physiotherapists to effectively support patients in managing chronic pain through increased physical activity.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown success in improving healthcare providers' engagement in promoting physical activity for chronic pain management, indicating that this approach has potential.
