What this trial studies
This observational study aims to evaluate the levels of resilience and self-care among patients suffering from congestive heart failure. It will assess how these two factors correlate and identify characteristics that positively influence resilience and self-care. The study will involve consecutive patients from the Cardiology department at the Agostino Gemelli IRCCS University Polyclinic Foundation in Rome. Participants will complete questionnaires to provide insights into their resilience and self-care practices.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are adults aged 18 to 90 who are diagnosed with heart failure and can understand and complete the study questionnaires.
Not a fit: Patients with serious psychiatric disorders or other significant clinical conditions that prevent them from completing the questionnaires may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could enhance self-care strategies for heart failure patients, potentially improving their health outcomes.
How similar studies have performed: While studies on resilience and self-care in chronic conditions exist, this specific focus on heart failure is relatively novel and may provide new insights.
