What this trial studies
This observational study aims to assess the attitudes and knowledge of dialysis patients in Poland regarding kidney transplantation. It focuses on patients who have been on dialysis for at least three months and have no medical contraindications for transplantation. The study will gather insights into the factors influencing patients' decisions and understanding of the transplantation process. By analyzing this data, the study seeks to identify barriers to transplantation and improve patient education and outcomes.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are dialysis patients in Poland who have been on dialysis for at least three months and can communicate in Polish.
Not a fit: Patients with absolute medical contraindications to kidney transplantation or those unable to make informed decisions may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could enhance patient awareness and increase the number of dialysis patients who consider and pursue kidney transplantation.
How similar studies have performed: While there may be limited studies specifically focusing on patient attitudes in Poland, similar studies in other countries have shown success in improving patient education and increasing transplantation rates.
