What this trial studies

This observational study aims to analyze the demographic and disease characteristics of pediatric patients diagnosed with genitourinary tumors, such as Wilms tumor and rhabdomyosarcoma, at the South Egypt Cancer Institute. By reviewing medical records from January 2001 to December 2015, the study will categorize data based on demographic information, clinical features, treatment modalities, and outcomes. The goal is to enhance understanding of these tumors and improve treatment strategies for affected children.

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are pediatric patients aged 18 years or younger diagnosed with genitourinary neoplasms.

Not a fit: Patients older than 18 years will not benefit from this study as they do not meet the age criteria.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved treatment outcomes and better management strategies for children with genitourinary tumors.

How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown success in understanding pediatric genitourinary tumors, but this specific observational approach may provide novel insights.
