What this trial studies
This study evaluates the effectiveness of various interventions, including the Shoulder Symptom Modification Procedure (SSMP), mobilization with movement (MWM), and sham mobilization, in improving function and reducing pain in patients with frozen shoulder. Participants will engage in a structured program that includes isometric exercises, eccentric exercises, and heavy slow resistance training. The primary goal is to determine which intervention yields the best outcomes in terms of shoulder mobility and disability reduction.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are individuals aged 40-65 diagnosed with adhesive capsulitis and experiencing significant shoulder mobility issues.
Not a fit: Patients with a history of shoulder dislocation, fractures, cancer, or cardiovascular disease may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide patients with effective treatment options to alleviate pain and improve shoulder function.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown promising results with similar interventions for frozen shoulder, indicating potential for success in this approach.
