What this trial studies
This randomized controlled trial aims to evaluate the effects of Graded Activity Training and Task-Oriented Training on post-stroke fatigue in patients. The study focuses on stroke survivors aged 40 to 60 who experience significant fatigue, assessing how these training interventions can improve their energy levels and overall quality of life. By addressing the bidirectional relationship between physical deconditioning and fatigue, the trial seeks to develop a more effective intervention protocol for managing post-stroke fatigue. Additionally, it will examine the impact of these interventions on mobility and gait.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are stroke survivors aged 40 to 60 who have experienced a stroke more than four months prior and have a fatigue score of 40 or more.
Not a fit: Patients with severe comorbid health conditions or those on medications that may hinder their ability to participate in physical training will likely not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could significantly enhance the quality of life for stroke survivors by reducing fatigue and improving their physical capabilities.
How similar studies have performed: While there is limited research specifically on post-stroke fatigue, similar approaches in physical rehabilitation have shown promise in improving patient outcomes.
