What this trial studies

This multicentric registry aims to collect data from surgical trainees who complete the PROSPECT training program, which focuses on proficiency-based, stepwise education for endovascular skills. The program incorporates virtual reality simulation and E-learning, allowing trainees to progress through four modules only after achieving specific benchmark scores. The study seeks to evaluate the retention of skills post-training and the real-life application of the curriculum across various centers. The initiative builds on previous findings that demonstrated superior performance in endovascular procedures among trainees who underwent this training compared to traditional methods.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are surgical trainees who are being trained in endovascular procedures.

Not a fit: Patients who are not surgical trainees or those not involved in endovascular procedures may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this training program could enhance the skills and performance of surgical trainees in endovascular procedures, leading to better patient outcomes.

How similar studies have performed: Previous studies have shown success with similar simulation-based training approaches, indicating potential for effective skill development in surgical education.
