Mastocytosis From Pediatric Age to Adulthood: Local Registry of Cutaneous and Systemic Mastocytosis
This hospital registry will collect clinical, laboratory, and genetic information from children and adults with cutaneous or systemic mastocytosis seen in Pavia to see how the disease changes over time and what predicts outcomes.

What this trial studies
This is a single-center longitudinal registry collecting both retrospective and prospective data on patients with cutaneous and systemic mastocytosis seen at the Dermatology Unit of Fondazione IRCCS Policlinico San Matteo. Clinical records, laboratory results, histology/immunohistochemistry, and available genetic/molecular data will be compiled and analyzed. The project aims to describe epidemiology, clinical features, serological and hematological findings, and molecular markers across age groups. Identified prognostic variables may support more personalized monitoring and treatment approaches.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Children and adults diagnosed with cutaneous or systemic mastocytosis who attend the Dermatology Outpatient Clinics at Fondazione IRCCS Policlinico San Matteo and consent to data collection.
Not a fit: Patients who are not treated or followed at the Pavia center, or whose disease subtypes are not represented in the registry, are unlikely to receive direct benefit from this project.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, the registry could improve understanding of disease course and prognostic markers, helping clinicians tailor monitoring and treatment to individual patients.
How similar studies have performed: Other national and international mastocytosis registries have previously helped clarify natural history and identify prognostic features, so this approach has precedent and utility.
