What this trial studies

This study focuses on understanding the attitudes and plans of renters and homeowners regarding radon testing in their homes. It consists of two phases: the first phase involves surveys and focus group discussions to gauge participants' views on radon testing and its impact on their testing plans. The second phase is a pilot intervention that tests various strategies to encourage radon testing among smokers and non-smokers. The study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of these interventions and the recruitment strategy within a specified timeframe.
