What this trial studies

This study investigates the effects of a telerehabilitation exercise program on the psychological health and delivery outcomes of pregnant women diagnosed with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM). Participants will be divided into two groups: one receiving routine medical care and the other participating in a structured telerehabilitation exercise protocol. The study aims to assess how exercise can alleviate anxiety and depression while improving overall health during pregnancy. By utilizing telerehabilitation, the study seeks to enhance the understanding and management of GDM through physical activity.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are women aged 20 to 35 years, between 20-28 weeks of gestation, diagnosed with gestational diabetes through an oral glucose tolerance test.

Not a fit: Patients with a history of type 1 or type 2 diabetes, high-risk pregnancy conditions, or those taking insulin regularly may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could significantly improve the mental health and delivery outcomes for pregnant women with gestational diabetes.

How similar studies have performed: While telerehabilitation is a relatively novel approach in this context, similar studies have shown promise in improving health outcomes through exercise interventions.
