Telemedical support for managing high blood pressure
Telemedical Care System for the Treatment of Arterial Hypertension Using Recommendation Algorithms to Support Diagnostic and Therapeutic Decisions

What this trial studies
This study evaluates a blood pressure monitoring system that integrates an algorithm to assist doctors in managing patients with hypertension. It is a single-center, randomized, open-label trial comparing standard care with a tele-informatic system for remote patient management. The trial will involve 200 participants aged 18-80 with uncontrolled hypertension, assessing both primary and secondary outcomes. The study aims to improve decision-making processes for healthcare providers treating hypertension.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are adults aged 18-80 with a diagnosis of hypertension and uncontrolled blood pressure.
Not a fit: Patients with secondary hypertension or those who are pregnant or breastfeeding may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could lead to better management of hypertension and improved health outcomes for patients.
How similar studies have performed: Previous studies have shown benefits of telemonitoring in hypertension management, but this specific algorithm-supported approach is relatively novel.
