What this trial studies
This clinical trial aims to compare the effectiveness of a tele-rehabilitation program against routine post-discharge rehabilitation for children aged 3-6 who have suffered burn injuries. The experimental group will participate in a 12-week tele-rehabilitation program that includes access to necessary recovery tools, while the control group will receive standard face-to-face rehabilitation. The study will evaluate improvements in care quality, scar management, and parental stress levels. Researchers will analyze the outcomes to determine if tele-rehabilitation offers significant advantages over traditional methods.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are Chinese children aged 3-6 who have sustained burn injuries with a total body surface area burned of 1% or more.
Not a fit: Patients who are not Chinese-speaking, have other severe diseases, or are currently receiving rehabilitation treatment may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could enhance recovery outcomes and quality of life for children with burns and reduce stress for their parents.
How similar studies have performed: While tele-rehabilitation is a growing field, this specific approach for children with burns is relatively novel and has not been extensively tested in prior studies.
