What this trial studies

This observational study aims to investigate the prevalence of Chronic Kidney Disease-Mineral and Bone Disorder (CKD-MBD) among the Chinese population. It will utilize a multi-center cross-sectional epidemiological approach, collecting data from over 9,800 subjects across various hospitals in China. A questionnaire will gather demographic information, medical history, laboratory test results, and medication details. The study will employ a multistage stratified cluster sampling method to ensure a representative sample from different geographic regions.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study include individuals with kidney damage for at least three months and specific criteria related to glomerular filtration rate or proteinuria.

Not a fit: Patients without available test results or medical history within the last three months may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide critical insights into the prevalence of CKD-MBD, potentially leading to improved management and treatment strategies for affected patients.

How similar studies have performed: While similar epidemiological studies have been conducted globally, this specific investigation into CKD-MBD prevalence in the Chinese population is novel.
