What this trial studies

This interventional study offers a structured Student Midwife Support Circle to midwifery students at Amasya University. Consenting students who have not previously received the intervention will take part in regular, facilitated support sessions focused on processing clinical experiences and building coping skills. Burnout, resilience, and professional belonging will be measured before and after the intervention using standardized questionnaires to track change over time. The study aims to determine whether these support circles improve emotional well-being and students' integration into the profession.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal participants are current midwifery students at Amasya University who agree to participate and have not previously received the Student Midwife Support Circle intervention.

Not a fit: Students who already received the Student Midwife Support Circle intervention or who do not consent to participate will not receive benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, the intervention could reduce student burnout, increase resilience, and strengthen professional belonging, potentially improving student wellbeing and retention.

How similar studies have performed: Similar peer-support and facilitated reflection interventions for students and health professionals have shown promising but mixed results in reducing burnout and improving resilience.
