What this trial studies

This is a prospective, single-center registry enrolling all patients treated with transcatheter edge-to-edge mitral repair (M-TEER) at the Heart Center, Bad Segeberg. Patients undergo a routine clinical follow-up schedule that includes clinical visits and imaging over the long term. Procedural details, in-hospital outcomes, and subsequent clinical events are recorded in a database. The registry aims to capture real-world safety, durability of repair, and patient-centered outcomes after M-TEER.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are patients with severe mitral regurgitation who undergo transcatheter edge-to-edge repair (M-TEER) at the Herzzentrum Segeberger Kliniken.

Not a fit: Patients who do not undergo M-TEER, have only mild or moderate MR, or who are treated at other hospitals will not be eligible and are unlikely to gain direct benefit from participation.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, the registry could improve understanding of long-term safety and real-world outcomes after M-TEER and help refine care for patients with severe MR.

How similar studies have performed: Randomized trials and multiple registries of M-TEER have reported clinical benefit in selected patients, so this registry builds on established evidence.
