What this trial studies

The BNP-PL is a multicenter, observational registry that follows patients diagnosed with pulmonary arterial hypertension and chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension in Poland. It aims to investigate the clinical course and management of these conditions by collecting data from accredited pulmonary hypertension centers across the country. The data is managed by Jagiellonian University Medical College and focuses on describing current practices and outcomes without impacting patient diagnosis or treatment. Data collection is conducted through an electronic platform, ensuring patient confidentiality.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates include patients aged over 3 months diagnosed with pulmonary arterial hypertension or chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension after March 1, 2018.

Not a fit: Patients diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension before March 1, 2018, may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this registry could enhance understanding of pulmonary hypertension management and improve patient outcomes in Poland.

How similar studies have performed: Other observational registries in pulmonary hypertension have shown success in improving patient management and outcomes, indicating that this approach is promising.
