What this trial studies

The Proton and Photon Consortium Registry (PPCR) aims to enroll pediatric patients who have received radiation therapy to better understand the demographics and treatment outcomes associated with different types of radiotherapy, specifically Proton Beam Radiation Therapy (PBRT) and Photon Therapy. This observational registry will collect comprehensive data on patient demographics, treatment history, and clinical outcomes to facilitate future research and comparisons of treatment efficacy. Patients will receive standard care as determined by their physicians, and their treatment responses and side effects will be documented over time. The collected data will help improve the understanding of radiation therapy's impact on pediatric cancer patients.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are pediatric patients under the age of 22 who have been treated with radiation therapy at participating centers.

Not a fit: Patients who are over the age of 22 or have not received radiation therapy may not benefit from this registry.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this registry could lead to improved treatment protocols and outcomes for pediatric patients undergoing radiation therapy.

How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown promising results with similar approaches in collecting data on radiation therapy outcomes, indicating potential for success.
