What this trial studies
The CAmpania REgistry on Peripheral Artery Disease (CARE-PAD) is an observational study that collects clinical, laboratory, and procedural data from patients diagnosed with peripheral artery disease (PAD). Conducted at the Federico II University of Naples, the study aims to evaluate the short, medium, and long-term outcomes of PAD patients over a duration of 10 years. Patients will be managed according to current guidelines and may receive medical therapy or undergo revascularization if indicated. The study will confirm PAD diagnosis through clinical assessments and imaging methods.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates include individuals with a confirmed diagnosis of peripheral artery disease, including those with intermittent claudication or critical limb ischemia.
Not a fit: Patients who refuse to sign the informed consent will not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could improve understanding of PAD outcomes and enhance treatment strategies for patients.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown success in evaluating outcomes in PAD patients, making this approach both relevant and supported by existing research.
