What this trial studies

The REIN Registry aims to improve the prevention and management of end-stage renal disease by collecting comprehensive data on patients undergoing renal replacement therapy in the Lorraine area. It includes all patients starting renal replacement therapy, documenting key events such as renal transplantation and changes in dialysis settings. The registry is supported by a network of nephrologists and public health representatives, ensuring accurate and complete data collection through regular verification visits to dialysis centers. This initiative promotes clinical and epidemiological research to enhance patient outcomes.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this registry are patients diagnosed with end-stage renal disease who are undergoing renal replacement therapy.

Not a fit: Patients with acute renal failure who recover renal function within 45 days or those who refuse participation may not benefit from this registry.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this registry could lead to improved management strategies and outcomes for patients with end-stage renal disease.

How similar studies have performed: Other registries focusing on renal disease management have shown success in improving patient outcomes and informing health strategies.
