What this trial studies

This study aims to assess the clinical presentation, management, hospital course, and prognosis of patients experiencing acute right ventricular infarction, with or without inferior wall myocardial infarction. Data will be collected on various patient characteristics, including demographics, clinical history, and procedural details, using a structured proforma. Patients will be monitored during their hospital stay and followed up via telephone 30 days post-discharge to record any major adverse clinical events. Statistical analyses will be performed to identify clinical predictors of right ventricular infarction.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates include adults aged 18 and older with inferior wall myocardial infarction and right ventricular infarction undergoing primary percutaneous coronary intervention.

Not a fit: Patients who do not consent to participate will not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could improve understanding and management of acute right ventricular infarction, leading to better patient outcomes.

How similar studies have performed: While similar studies have been conducted, this specific registry approach focusing on acute right ventricular infarction is relatively novel.
